Writing and Marketing Clients
Jennifer D Grant
My clients include organizations in tech and telecom, corporate healthcare, alternative wellness, entertainment, fashion, and local small businesses.
Below is a sampling of projects I’ve worked on.
ITB Handmade Backscratchers
A small business selling custom niche products had outgrown its website and needed someone to manage migration to a new platform. The client did not want to lose any SEO as part of the migration, so we formulated a marketing ramp-up and migration strategy that mitigated temporary losses. The migration was successful and ultimately resulted in a dramatic increase in the client’s sales, as well as streamlined his fulfillment and inventory processes. Site link
1:M Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity consultant with extensive online tutorial video library needed human edits to their auto-generated closed-captioning. Job scope included watching the videos while editing the written closed captioning for mistakes and clarity. Site link
NBC.com
Managed on-and offshore teams of QA testing and content development staff at Emmy Award-winning NBC.com. Oversaw all copy, images and video published to the site and ensured it was on-brand and free of editorial and technical errors.
Hollywood in Hollywild Project
Assisted with the startup of a blog, book and podcast project chronicling a successful voiceover artist’s transition from life in downtown Los Angeles to the idyllic foothills of California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. Provided writing support and editing, and helped implement a marketing plan for the project.
Kaiser Permanente
Wrote print-focused newsletter copy and feature articles for healthcare journals distributed to the company’s hospital networks. The role required knowledge of mainstream medical terminology and concepts written in a broad tone to appeal to a large, diverse audience.
The LA Fashion Magazine
Leading fashion trade magazine in Los Angeles needed extensive editing and proofreading work done on their monthly 100-page print publication. This was a deadline-driven client that required the ability to shift gears mid-task as well as quickly process a large volume of copy.
